Meet the Administrators


About Mrs. Howard
Assistant Principal

Mrs. Howard is originally from St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Human and Family Studies. She taught preschool, kindergarten and first grade at a private day school in St. Louis while also serving as the Assistant Director of the Child Development Center in the Federal building.

Mrs. Howard moved to Virginia and continued working as a preschool teacher and Assistant Director of a day care center. After 3 years, she went on to become the Director and then on to be the District Manager. As the District Manager, Mrs. Howard was in charge of 13 day care centers all throughout Maryland and Washington D.C. In 2002, she went back to get her Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Management and returned to public school where she taught 3rd grade. After teaching 3rd grade at Potomac Elementary for 5 years, she moved into the Math lab resource teacher position.

Mrs. Howard continued her education and earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership in May of 2014. In 2014, after 10 years of teaching at PES, she became the Assistant Principal of Northumberland Elementary School in Heathsville, VA. Mrs. Howard joined Sealston Elementary as the Assistant Principal in 2015.
About Mrs. Malyevac
Principal

Mrs. Malyevac has been with King George County Schools for many years and the principal of Sealston Elementary since 2015. Prior to coming to Sealston as the Assistant Principal in 2011, she taught students from grades PK-6 in a variety of settings including Title 1, General Education, and Gifted Education. She also served as the Gifted Coordinator for King George County Schools. 

Mrs. Malyevac has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, and a Master’s degree in Education from Virginia Tech. She has a post-graduate endorsement from the Education Leadership program of the University of Mary Washington. Her endorsements are in Early Education, Middle Education, Gifted Education and Administration and Supervision.

Mrs. Malyevac is married and has 2 children who have attended King George County Schools.
